10th of May // 8 p.m.// Leipzig // Theater der Jungen Welt // Dance Technology // Věra Ondrašíková a kol. Laser-like projections bathe the stage, tree skeletons, dancers and the audience in unreal, beautiful light and create magical, epic to (nightmarish) dreamlike associative spaces.
The widely toured performance by Věra Ondrašíková and her team won the Audience Award at the Czech Dance Platform 2022, among others. No language barrier.

11th of May // 8 p.m.// Leipzig // LOFFT – DAS THEATER // LetMeC_natur // Dance Performance // Márta Ladjánszki & Zsolt Varga (Ungarn) In a time where nudity on stage has become an almost natural part of contemporary art, Márta Ladjánszki and Zsolt Varga take their audience on a unique journey, offering the opportunity to
experience shared nudity as a basic agreement on and in front of the stage. The participation in the event requires the consent to attend the performance without clothes. Please bring a towel or something similar so that you can sit on the unseated spectator stand. No language barrier.

In the almost hour-long production, Alica Minar develops a character whose initially naive joy in finding and collecting simple, black balls turns into unbridled greed, and who at some point seems to use any means to satisfy it. For two months the director and her actors delved into the darkest corners of human interactions, to create a work that offers the audience what has defined theater for millennia – catharsis. Searching in the eternal ice, in endless deserts, oceanic deep sea trenches and fairy-tale dictatorships, Peter Müller and Gundolf Nandico transform their theater machine over and over again. The three dimensional shape of the Theatrum Mundi, a machinery of the absurd, combines with the musical journey of the alphorn. Performance in German.

The performance – which of course has the potential to be kitschy, given such a topic – is charismatic and moving. And as a group work, a great utopia in remembrance of the state of our world.
